This picture has always intrigued me. At the moment of exposure I was not aware of the people and pram entering bottom right, but somehow they make the picture work on a different level.
It was one of the first images I made that provoked the idea of enclosure and closed spaces in the open landscape - the buried remains of an historic building in the grounds of Castle Rising, itself an intriguing name.
